Duxburys sell high-quality Garden Furniture products. The Garden Furniture guarantee durations are listed on every product page of Duxburys website and on display stands in the showroom. Even with the best quality furniture, it can occasionally occur that a defect or damage occurs due to a manufacturing defect or, for example, transport. In the rare instances where quality falls short, fantastic customer service is readily available from our dedicated team. 

The warranty applies to the original purchaser from the date of purchase and covers manufacturing faults and defects only.  Listed guarantee durations are the maximum period covered and any repiars or replacement orders provided do not re-start the guarantee period.

Our guarantees cover furniture frames and garden structures (including pergolas) for structural damage (framework), corrosion, rust, and/or fade in the UK. However, it does not include the glass, cushion fabric & filling, or stitching supplied with furniture sets. Variations in weave colour, wood colour and ceramic is natural and therefore not covered. 

Once delivery has been accepted, the customer is responsible for cleaning and caring for the furniture. We do not accept responsibility for water marks, stains, or any mould or mildew growth that occurs after the delivery of your furniture and cushions. This includes oil stains on the furniture, and any oil that may transfer from the furniture to the cushion or any other surface.

Our range is designed to withstand UK weather conditions. It may not be suitable for other climates. Duxburys will not be responsible for damage caused by foreign weather conditions if the customer wishes to move furniture out of the UK, or where the product has been altered by a third-party. Fair wear and tear will be excluded from the guarantee.  

Each piece of furniture supplied is covered by individual warranty. If warranted, items will be repaired or replaced. Exchange of the entire set is not covered.

 

Product Specific Guarantee Details: 

Rattan Garden Furniture

The guarantees for rattan furniture include protection against structural damage, rust, and fade of the weave. The guarantee does not cover natural wear and tear. Rattan products may contract or expand in foreign, extreme temperatures, which is not covered under guarantee. Garden furniture cushions and glass are not covered under guarantee unless they have arrived damaged. We will replace damaged items within 14 days after delivery if the item arrives damaged.

You should note that rattan weaves can be made up of different colour strands. These variations may look different in your garden depending on how much sunlight is available. Because the furniture is handwoven, there will not be any two identical items.

 Aluminium Garden Furniture

  • The guarantees for aluminium garden furniture include protection against structural damage. Scratches and signs of use due to normal household use are excluded. 

4 Seasons Outdoor and Recommended Outdoor Fabric Furniture.

The garden furniture from 4 Seasons Outdoor is made to remain outside for 4 seasons and which you can easily use for years. Of course, the warranty applies to damage / defects that are already present when the garden furniture is delivered and that are caused by manufacturing errors or, for example, transport damage.

Exclusions

Garden furniture from 4 Seasons Outdoor is of high quality and is made for private, domestic use. The materials used each have their own (natural) properties that must be taken into account when purchasing and that can be read back on the added hangtags. Therefore, there are a number of exclusions related to the 4 Seasons Outdoor warranty.

Damage caused by the following causes is excluded from the warranty

  • Incorrect assembly (there is an assembly manual with every piece of furniture)
  • Abnormal load on the furniture
  • Incorrect or incompetent use of the furniture
  • Incorrect maintenance and use of aggressive (cleaning) agents other than the recommended 4 Seasons Outdoor maintenance products
  • Repairs done by an amateur
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Large-scale use such as contract and/or project use

Damage / changes caused by normal properties of materials

Wood

  • (Teak) wood is a natural material that discolors and ages.
  • Hairline cracking is normal with (teak) wood.
  • When no regular maintenance has been carried out by means of use of the official maintenance products: 4SO Teak Cleaner, 4SO Teak Protector, 4SO Teak Shield, 4SO Instant Gray, 4SO Vintage teak protector.
  • Natural oils in (teak) wood can stain other materials, such as cushion fabrics.
  • Stains on (teak) wood due to food / liquids, sunlight through glass, hot materials
  • Scratches and signs of use due to normal household use
  • Mould formation / discoloration due to incorrect covering

Steel / Aluminum / Stainless Steel / Synthetic materials

  • Scratches and signs of use due to normal household use
  • Rusting of steel / stainless steel from the inside due to, among other things, condensation, accumulated (rain) water or abnormal environmental conditions

Outdoor textiles

  • Signs of use due to normal household use
  • Minimal shrinkage & discoloration
  • Decreased bearing capacity and thickness of cushion filling during normal use and possible wrinkling of cushion covers as a result
  • Wrong washing

Rope / Wicker / Cord

  • Signs of use due to normal household use

HPL / Ceramic

  • Stains from food / liquids, sunlight through glass, hot materials

Cover

4 Seasons Outdoor advises not to cover garden furniture or to only cover it with a high-quality cover that contains, among other things, breathing properties. Improper covering of garden furniture can lead to mould formation / discoloration of materials that are not covered by the warranty. 

Parasols

Defects to a parasol canopy, such as rips and tears, are covered by a 1 year guarantee on all parasols. The guarantee covers the crank and tilt system of an aluminium crank-and-tilt parasol. Parasol damage, including bending or damage from high winds, is not covered. Parasols should always be used with a base that is suitable and should always be covered and closed when not in use.

Covers

Please note that all of our Outdoor Furniture Covers are covered by our 1 Year Guarantee. This guarantee covers natural rips at the seams. No replacement will be given for covers that have been ripped by force or cut with scissors. Duxburys reserves all rights to determine if the damage was caused by misuse or manufacturer error. Please note that whilst the covers may fade if exposed to direct sunlight, the guarantee does not cover colour fading. 

Garden Furniture Cushions

All cushions for garden furniture sets must be kept indoors unless the manufacturer specifically states that they can be left outside. Even if furniture covers are applied, cushions must be kept inside.

Pergolas

All Titan Pergolas are covered with a 5 year warranty. The warranty covers any defects in the material. The warranty does not cover any defects caused by extreme weather conditions or inappropriate use.This guarantee does not cover Side Blinds and Louvres which are all covered by a 1 Year Guarantee.

Our warranties do not cover natural wear and tear or damage from extreme weather conditions such as storm damage or high winds. 

 

In the event of a warranty claim, please email emma@duxburysgardenfurniture.co.uk :order details, proof of purchase, photographs and a brief explanation. We will endeavour to acknowledge your email within 7 working days and will try to resolve your issue as quickly and effectively as possible. If we no longer stock the furniture, we will recommend that you contact the supplier directly.
